Open Day/Taster Sessions with Monmouthshire Community Learning

Monday June 27th 10:00am – 2:00pm
Everyone is welcome to the Festival of Learning/Adult Learners’ Week with Monmouthshire Community Learning.
Free open day/taster sessions.
Taster sessions include: Introduction to Drawing, iPad & Computers, Welsh Sessions, Interior Design & Upcycling Furniture, Sewing and much more!
Table Top Sale & Refreshments.
Come along, meet the staff and have a go at anything that takes your fancy!

Free Cookery Taster Session – Adult Learners’ Week

Monday June 27th 10:00am – 2:00pm
Dawn Purkiss will be holding free taster sessions from 10-11am & 1-2pm
We will be making pancakes sweet and savoury come along and try your hand!

Quiz Night at the Kings Arms

Tuesday June 28th 7:30pm
Ti a Fi y Fenni parent and toddler group have organised a quiz night in the Kings Arms to raise money for the National Eisteddfod.

£2 entrance per person on Tuesday 28th June at 7:30pm.

Art Workshop – Wild & Wacky Watercolour

Produce a creative watercolour in bright colours using animals as our inspiration. Suitable for all levels.

Abergavenny Food Assembly


Wednesday June 29th 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Abergavenny is launching a new food assembly on 29th June. 5.15pm – 6.45pm. Everybody is welcome and there is no pressure to buy as ordering takes place online. Come and meet the producers.

Eisteddfod Architectural Gold Medal shortlist announcement + presentation by top architect

Thursday June 30th 4:30pm – 6:00pm
This Thursday at the Chapel in Market Street, Abergavenny Gerald Davies (of Wales and British Lions rugby fame) will be announcing the shortlist for this years Eisteddfod Architectural prizes at 4.30pm.
Also Architect Chris Loyn of Loyn&Co, twice Gold medal winner, will be giving a talk entitled ‘TO BEGIN AT THE BEGINNING – GROUNDWORK’
An example of his latest work is illustrated. Everyone is welcome.

Every Friday 7pm-9pm
The 7 Corners Cafe hold a film night for young people every Friday. Be sure to check out their Facebook page on Friday for a cryptic clue of what will be shown.

Abergavenny Community Centre – Various Activites

The community centre hosts an ever changing and growing series of activities every week day and Saturday.

They are based in the old Park Street School opposite the Somerset Arms.

Abergavenny Markets

The market is based in the heart of the town and is always busy. The general market is held every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am-5pm.
The Bric-a-Brac antiques fair will be held Wednesday 29thth from 6am-5pm
