Autumn Origami Workshop for adults

20th September 2016 @ 10:30 am – 12:30 pm

Origami is the traditional Japanese craft of paper folding.
In this autumn workshop, we are folding the apple and the pumpkin for a greeting card.
This workshop is for adults with all abilities. The fee includes all the materials and refreshments. Booking through email or Facebook message is essential.
Come and join us to spend a therapeutic morning of origami with us at the Community Centre, Park Street, NP7 5YB.

Introduction course to Interior Design

20th September 2016 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

An introduction to interior finishes, to include colour theory, modern and traditional finishes for walls and furniture surfaces at the Monmouthshire Community Learning Centre, Old Hereford Rd Abergavenny NP7 6EL.
Course will include:
Colour Mixing
Plaster Work
Gilding (applying gold leaf or gold paint)
Suitable for beginners or the more experienced.
3 week course
Course cost -£24.00

Herefordshire Beer House Tasting Event With Curry

21st September 2016 @ 6:00 pm

Abergavenny Food Assembly invites you to an evening of beer tasting and curry. Herefordshire Beer House are kindly coming to show case some of their most popular beers. This will be followed by a chicken curry (local chicken breast). (Vegetarian curry available, booking essential). Places are £15 per person, £3 to be refunded on the night to assembly members who make a purchase.

‘On the Rocks!’ Charity Gig Night

Come along to ‘On The Rocks!’ live music night at the Labour Club to help Sian’s Kilimanjaro fundraising for Tenovus Cancer Care, helping support cancer patients and their loved ones. £5 entry.

Abergavenny Community Centre – Various Activites

The community centre hosts an ever changing and growing series of activities every week day and Saturday.

They are based in the old Park Street School opposite the Somerset Arms.

Abergavenny Market

Markets in the Market Hall

The market is based in the heart of the town and is always busy. The general market is held every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am-5pm.
The Bric-a-Brac antiques fair will be held Wednesdays.
