Half Term Circus Workshops

Monday 24th- Tuesday 25th 9.30am-3.30pm

Roll up! Roll up! The Melville Centre invites you to join the Abergavenny Circus! On Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 October, Hummudruz (the Black Light Theatre of Wales) presents circus workshops for children and young people. Have you ever wanted to juggle? Have you ever fancied plate-spinning or stilt-walking? Two age groups: 7-11 from 9.30am – 12.00pm and 12+ from 1.00pm – 3.30pm. £15 for two days (£10 each for siblings). Frozen

Frozen Singalong

26th October 2016 @ 10:30 am – 12:30 pm

Join us for some half term fun. Get those costumes out of the cupboard and dress up for a Frozen Singalong. The Melville Centre presents the ever-popular Disney classic in a version that lets you sing along with all your favourites. Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey, teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Certificate PG. Tickets £5, include a workshop before the film where you can make your own Frozen props.

Clairvoyance Evening with Jackie Mecke

27th October 2016 @ 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Jackie Mecke will be returning to Get Together on Thursday 27 October!

Jackie is a popular medium who is well known in and around the Hereford area. Jackie will be giving messages from loved ones who have passed away, making it an uplifting and emotional evening, proving that even though our loved ones may be gone their souls still walk amongst us.

Whilst the event is taking place you will be able to purchase refreshments from our bar including wine, beers and ciders, spirits and our cocktails!

Awakening the Awenydd With Maxine Smillie

The mysteries of Welsh Shamanic practices have not been lost, they are alive and vibrant. In this workshop we will explore this opening a gateway using the Shamanic Journey individually and as a community. We will work with the stories from the Mabinogion, the Welsh ‘creation’ story.

The Songs of Yusuf- Cat Stevens

After his successful concert at the Melville in May, performing The Songs of Leonard Cohen, Keith James returns with an evening of the music of Cat Stevens: Wild World, Father and Son, Moonshadow and Where Do the Children Play? The concert is in aid of UNICEF.

Abergavenny Community Centre – Various Activites

The community centre hosts an ever changing and growing series of activities every week day and Saturday.

They are based in the old Park Street School opposite the Somerset Arms.

Abergavenny Market

Markets in the Market Hall

The market is based in the heart of the town and is always busy. The general market is held every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am-5pm.
The Bric-a-Brac antiques fair will be held Wednesdays.
