Seann Walsh

Seann Walsh at the Borough Theatre

15th March 2017 @ 8:00 pm

One For The Road

The Lie-in King returns with a brand-new show.

However dishevelled he may be, the Foster’s Comedy Award nominee is also one of the best comics in the country. With a keen observational mind, Seann can spot the absurdity in everything and convert it to perfectly delivered stand-up comedy.

You might have seen Seann Walsh on TV, but he’s something else live – pacing the stage, working the room and reducing crowds to hysterics. Even if he’d probably rather be at home watching Sky Sports News.

As seen on BBC1’s Live at the Apollo, ITV’s Jonathan Ross Show and Tonight at The London Palladium, ITV 2’s Celebrity Juice, Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Comedy Central’s Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central.

Perfect Pitch

It’s An Act presents – Perfect Pitch by John Godber

16th March 2017 @ 7:30 pm

John Godber’s comedy, Perfect Pitch focuses on the relationships of two very different couples. Firstly we meet Ron, a snobby prematurely retired headteacher, and his would-be marathon running wife. Yvonne, who have gone camping for the first time in a caravan bought with Ron’s early retirement money. At a cliff’s edge, with a view of the sea, they are looking forward to a life of relaxing after stressful careers, with a trial run at a seaside campsite in Wales. But what they imagined would be an uneventful time to themselves is interrupted when seasoned caravanners, Grant, a bull-terrier breeding former miner, and his partner, 30 year old Steph, roll alongside in their battered old bird. Their loud arguments, and even louder love-making, break the comfortable silence Ron and Yvonne had built around themselves, forcing them to accept situations, and home truths, far outside their comfort zone. It’s safe to say that Ron and Yvonne’s lives will never be the same again!

Tickets: £10 (u18s: £8). Available in advance from the Melville Centre by telephoning 01873 853167 or email: melvillecentre@outlook.com.
