Tribute paid to Peter Goodridge

1

On Thursday 1st June 2017  there was a single vehicle collision on the mini-roundabout in Llanfoist, Abergavenny, near the river.

A 61 year old man was taken to hospital but sadly passed away. He can now be named as Peter Francis Goodridge from the Abergavenny area.

The following tribute has been released by Peter’s family:

‘Pete was a monumental figure in the visual Arts and Crafts in Wales. His company ArtWorks has transported art work throughout the UK and across the world. He will be greatly missed by the artists, curators and technicians he worked with. The National Museum in Cardiff have their flag at half-mast in his honour.

He is survived by his wife Melanie Brown and his children Scarlett and Gregory. Pete was a larger than life character, and not just his height of six foot six; he connected with so many people, he loved what he did, and was a unique part of so many people’s lives. He will be greatly missed.’

  1. So shocked to learn of the sad death of Pete Goodridge. Apart from his family and his arts businesss he was a very active, indeed crucial, member of the Dance Blast Board of Trustees. His presence and input will be sorely missed. On behalf of all Trustees and all at Dance Blast I offer our condolences to his family at this extremely difficult and painful time.
