It’s that time of year again when we are starting to think about Christmas. This year C. J. Copner Ice Cream Vans Abergavenny have teamed up with the Abergavenny Food Bank.

Remember those annoying tins you keep having to move, those sauces you will never eat. Guess what, someone needs them and what better time to give than Christmas.

C. J. Copner Ice Cream Vans have the following list of items you can drop with us or even directly at the Food Bank.

* Milk (UHT or powdered)

* Fruit juice (long life carton)

* Cereals

* Pasta sauces

* Tinned sponge pudding

* Tinned tomatoes

* Tinned vegetables

* Soup

* Tinned rice pudding

* Tea bags/Instant coffee

* Instant mash potato

* Rice/pasta

* Tinned meat/fish

* Tinned fruit

* Jam

* Biscuits or snack bars

In addition to the list, they are always happy to have toiletries and household items. Items must be well within date, unopened and not damaged.

Trussell Trust foodbanks provide three days of emergency food to local individuals and families in crisis. Frontline care professionals including health visitors, social workers and school liaison officers refer people who are facing hunger to the Food Bank. As well as receiving nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food parcels, people visiting the foodbank are welcomed with a cup of tea, listened to and signposted to agencies who are able to help resolve the underlying cause of the problem. By donating to the Food Bank you can help support local people in crisis! www.abergavenny.foodbank.org.uk info@abergavenny.foodbank.org.uk
