Symonds Yat - Walking and Storytelling with Strolls 'n' Stories @ Symonds Yat East

Enjoy a unique experience from Strolls ‘n’ Stories. Join Jan Little as she takes you on a walk through picturesque Symonds Yat East, often referred to as the Jewel of the Wye Valley. Walk along the River Wye, stroll up to Symonds Yat Rock (where the peregrines breed in the spring) for a stunning panoramic view of the area. River permitting, cross the river on the little hand ferry and lunch at the old ferry inn.

The Wye Valley holds the secrets of many famous people. Walk where Wordsworth walked, and listen to how he found peace here after his torrid love affair in France during the French revolution. Hear the story of the secretive crossings on the hand ferry from He Who Can Not Be Named. Listen to the myths and legends that arise from the geology of the area.
