Abergavenny Food Festival returns on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, bringing two days of food, drink, entertainment and conversation to the heart of Abergavenny.

Now in its 28th year, the festival brings together more than 120 food producers, talented chefs, makers and food writers, with a packed programme of 80+ events taking place across venues throughout the town.

Visitors can explore an extraordinary range of local and independent producers, enjoy street food and demonstrations, hear from leading voices in the food world, and take part in masterclasses and talks covering everything from cooking and ingredients to farming, sustainability and the future of food.

There is plenty for families too, including the kids’ cookery school, while the festival’s programme of live entertainment adds to the atmosphere across the weekend. The historic Abergavenny Castle provides the setting for cooking over fire and the popular Party in the Castle on Saturday evening.

The 2026 festival features appearances including Cyrus Todiwala, while the programme also includes food writing, live demonstrations, the Local & Vocal Tent, a food quiz, and opportunities to meet the people behind some of the country’s most exciting food and drink.
