Abergavenny Castle’s summer exhibition explores the influence of Augusta Hall (Lady Llanover) and her family & friends on Welsh Culture and the Eisteddfod. Make sure to see the stunning ‘Death of Tewdrig’ sculpture while you’re there! (Lower Castle St, Abergavenny NP7 5EE)

Come to Abergavenny Library (Baker St, NP7 5BD) this week from 11am to enjoy performances inspired by themes from Raymond Williams’ book Border Country.

Visit the Cabin of Curiosities (15 Nevill Street, NP7 5AA) for a consideration of artists and writers of the Black Mountains, past and present. Click here for the full details and lineup.

The Angel Hotel’s pop-up festival celebrates the National Eisteddfod coming to Abergavenny. The entrance is on Castle Street, Just a few yards from the Maes. Enjoy the summer vibe and relax on the benches and haybales, with a range of food and drink available until late from outlets including ‘Bar Haf’.
Open from 4pm, food ‘til 11pm, and live music.

So sad to see the town so empty as visitors have been bussed in and out with No footfall in the centre ! The shop holders and Market have gone the extra mile to show just what it has to offer and are left out of profit !!
