Over 300 children aged 5-12 years attended February half-term’s Monmouthshire Games are delivered by Monmouthshire Leisure Services and take place during school holidays in its four leisure centres across the county. A range of activities provided children with the opportunity to make new friends, keep busy and have fun through sport.
Launched in summer 2016 so far over 5,000 children and young people have attended The Monmouthshire Games which take place during school holidays. The holiday sessions offer a comprehensive and structured programme with something for everyone. Activities range from swimming, football, cricket, netball and hockey to kayaking and nerf gun challenges.
Fully qualified and experienced coaches deliver the activities with support from Sport4Life volunteers to enable quality provision. Forthcoming sessions will take place during the Easter holidays from Monday 10th April to Friday 21st April. There is an option to stay from 9am to 3pm (cost £16 per day) or 8am to 5pm (£19.50 per day).
