A voluntary organisation based in Abergavenny is to raise funds to promote the town’s library service. The Friends of Abergavenny Library Service (FOALS) will raffle two adult day tickets for Sunday 20th August at The Green Man Festival to be held at the Glan Usk Estate, near Crickhowell and all proceeds will go towards improving library facilities.

The tickets were kindly donated by Mr Joseph Hatch, the marketing manager for the Green Man Festival who said: “It’s a pleasure to support such a fantastic cause.” Raffle tickets cost just a pound each and are available from Abergavenny Library, Monmouthshire County Council’s one stop shop in Cross Street and various locations in the town. The winner of the two tickets will be announced at noon on Wednesday, 16th August.

Mr George Beale, chairman of FOALS said: “ We are a voluntary organisation that promotes Abergavenny Library and we do a lot of fund-raising to augment library services. We are extremely grateful for the very generous donation made by the Green Man Festival management.”
