Abergavenny Christmas Fair cancelled due to significant snowfall

The organisers of the Abergavenny Christmas Fair have taken the decision to cancel today’s event due to safety concerns for both stallholders and visitors as a result of significant snowfall in the area.
Chief Executive Aine Morris said “the safety of everyone coming to the Fair is at the front of our minds. We are hugely disappointed ourselves that today’s Fair will not go ahead, but after taking advice from our staff, traders and relevant public services the site has been deemed too risky for the event to go ahead.”
Over 85 stallholders were expected at the town today. They have received communication from the organisers this morning and those that have already made the journey and arrived in Abergavenny have been met and greeted by the organisers to explain the circumstances.
Any visitors able to make it to Abergavenny today will be met with EVENT CANCELLED signs in the town. All advanced wristband sales and ticket sales for the Homes of Elegance tasting workshops will be refunded automatically.
