This postcard was sent in 1913. It obviously provides a stark contrast with the town as it is now, and gives us an interesting look at the past. It also shows ‘Holy Mountain’, which we now of course know as the Skirrid.
Unfortunately, the text on the back is somewhat smudged, but given that it’s 103 years old, it’s in a lot better condition than I’d have expected!
