With just a few weeks until Christmas it’s time to get into the festive spirit, and what better way to kick off the season than with Abergavenny’s own Christmas Food and Drink Fair!

Here’s a few reasons why we think you should head to the Fair tomorrow!

1. A boozy Christmas cocktail masterclass with a renowned mixologist

As far as Christmas parties go, a good tipple is a pretty key component. Book into this masterclass with Dom Jacobs, famous mixologist and owner of the Running Horse Cocktail bar in London’s Mayfair and impress your guests with your new skills.

2. Specialist Chef demonstrations

Following closely after drinks, food is probably the next most important element of any Christmas celebration. Pick up top tips from top chefs and go home fully equipped with this professional training to whip up a feast for all your friends and family.

3. Over 85 Stallholders selling artisan food

If you’d rather spend your Christmas on the sofa in your new pyjamas instead of in the kitchen, we’ll have over 85 stallholders at the ready. You’ll be able to buy plenty of delicious produce, ready to take home, serve and eat immediately.

4. An opportunity to buy thoughtful gifts away from the high street

Not only will there be stallholders selling food and drink but also lots of handmade artisan gifts. Perfect for those wanting to avoid the hectic high street and pick up something thoughtful for a loved one.

5. Secret Treats workshops for the little ones

All bases are covered. If you want to enjoy all of the above but you’re worried your little ones will get bored, there will be a series of secret treats workshops lined up throughout the day to keep them entertained.

6. Lantern making workshops

The most popular of all the workshops, a chance to make your own special lantern to add some Christmas sparkle for the Music and light parade.

7. Music and light parade

Follow the Borough Brass Band on a musical procession and light parade beginning at the Market Hall.  Meet at 16:00, the procession will set off at 16:15, there will be carol sheets ready for you, so wrap up warm, bring along your singing voices and enjoy!

8. Explore what’s on offer in Abergavenny

Abergavenny’s independents and restaurants are always gleaming with life and take great effort to dress their windows so that they are appealing all year round. To take part in all of the Secret Treats Workshops the cost is £5 per child or £1.50 per session, tickets for these are only available on the day.
