Fringe Festival applications are open for this year’s landmark Abergavenny Food Festival

Want to be part of this year’s 20th edition of the Abergavenny Food Festival? Have a brilliant event idea that is going to revolutionise the way we eat, drink and grow food in South Wales? We want to hear from you!

Applications are open for this year’s Fringe Festival – an integral part of the food festival which will take place over the weekend of Saturday 15th-Sunday 16th September. Applicants will be able to access the advice and support of the festival team to help you run your event and they will link you up to other organisations that can help to bring your event to life.

Festival CEO Aine Morris said:
“Above all, being a part of Abergavenny Food Festival is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate all that is great about South Wales’ food culture, especially the people who grow, make and cook our food. We want to highlight the great work already underway and invite many more people to help grow our local food system.

“With the Fringe Festival we hope to highlight the community’s activities, and signpost opportunities for people to engage more with local food on a year-round basis. The Festival exists to support the work of the businesses and organisations across the local areas that contribute to a growing good food culture and it is our job to get the message out to the public that there are lots of year-round opportunities to find good food in Abergavenny.”

Deadline for applications is Friday 30th March. Beyond this deadline, accepted Fringe Festival event applications may not be included in the festival’s print marketing materials. Please visit the festival’s website to find out more information and details of how to apply.
